Swipe each word. Don't tap letters.

Turn it on

iPhone

Settings → General → Keyboard
Scroll down to the All Keyboards list and turn on Slide to Type. When it's on, "Delete Slide-to-Type by Word" appears under it.
Make sure Auto-Correction and Predictive Text are on too.
Restart your iPhone. Swiping often won't work until you do.
Test it in Messages: slide h, e, l, o in one motion. If "hello" appears, you're ready.

Android (Gboard)

Open Gboard settings (hold the comma or globe key, or Settings → System → Keyboard)
Glide typing → turn on Enable glide typing

Samsung Keyboard

Put your finger on the first letter and slide through the rest. Lift at the last letter.
Aim for the shape of the word, not each key. The keyboard figures it out.
Don't worry about spaces. The keyboard adds them between swiped words.
Double letters: just wiggle or pause on the letter.
Wrong word? One backspace deletes the whole swiped word.
Go slow first. Speed comes after the shapes are in your thumb.

Each correctly swiped word is worth 10 points. Swipe 5 in a row and the multiplier climbs, up to x5.
Tapping letters or backspacing resets your combo.
Speed bonus: 10 points for every WPM above 15. Your time for each message starts on your first swipe, so take a second to read it first.

Speed Rounds and the Daily Challenge go on the arcade High Scores table. The ALL TIME board keeps each player's best Daily Challenge score.
